lmao dude, your a fucking clown, not because they were training hard. your "giant sets" wouldnt make anybody throw up, not unless they felt sick beause of the pre workout slin. they were making fun of your dumbass for the massive carb loads that made them sick. its on flexonline a dj interview with silvio samuel. http://www.flexonline.com/videos/91 watch at 14:30.
Massive carb loads made them sick...yet they did repeatedly - FOR years...?
DJ has been very open in explaining how I over-carbed him couple of times - and I accepted his "blame" - even posted publicly that - "I screwed up"...to make a grown man feel better about his shortcomings...
Does anyone knows what CARB LOADING IS?
Can anyone actually ask WHY bodybuilders do carb load and what is the purpose?
While endurance athletes have their specific reasons to deplete and than super-compensate glycogen storage for their chosen sports - how about bodybuilders?
I said million times - there are so many "unbelievable"

expert-nutritionists in bodybuilding - that do absolute miracles with their competitors...
They "DIAL THEM IN" like a 1-900 number (with so much $ per minute - to add)...
They simply get guys (or girls) - "dry to the bone"...
WOW!?!?!
And when you look those competitors - they are border line emergency case waiting to happen, dehydrated to the point of life danger...and "juiced up" to the Jing-jing yet majorly under nourished and severely catabolic - following their suicidal contest diet - sometimes sub 1000 kcal /day !?!?!?
Yet, they show up on the contest day - DIALED IN...(1-900-LETMEDIE or 1-900-LUVZOMBIE.COM....)
If those poor guys do manage to finish the contest without emergency intervention of paramedics - next few days are still critical...for just bare survival...
Needless to say - guys "blow up" like a fish - often gaining MORE THAN 50 POUNDS in just couple of days...and sometimes more - with American hearth association and/or Guinness book of world records extreme interest...
Guy that was in shape for 24 hour period, in matter of few days become again "off-season" obese looking, hearth attack waiting to happen, respiratory machine grasping for air even walking...
Fun to be around - like only....hmmmm, somebody...- EL somebody could be...
You want to be spill-over proof, dry to the bone?
You need about 7 micrograms of brain to come up with the plan...
Deplete into the show and drop water + use necessary amount of diuretics... WOW, brilliance of the muscle minds!
Never mind that you:
1) Destroyed so much quality muscle during dieting phase...That hard earned muscle mass you work so hard for during the off season, force feeding yourself and training like a maniac...to make necessary improvements...
2) Lower your caloric intake to dramatically low total amount of calories, devoid yourself of necessary and important essential nutrients - needed for general health and well being...
3) Due to strict regimen - becoming ZOMBIE in real sense of that word - worthless to any business, family, relationship - WORTHLESS in again true sense of that word...suffering, hungry, tired, irritable...STUPID

...
4) Sending your body in deep starvation mode - where your body must start catabolizing itself - due to lack of calories and differential in caloric intake/need...Loosing MUSCLE and not fat...as metabolic activity of muscle tissue far exceeds one of fat - and 'HIGHER THE DEFICIT' worse it gets...and bodybuilders are the VERY BEST EXAMPLE of that!
Simply, due to extreme muscle mass - bodybuilders do have much higher metabolic rate than average Joes...
Considering the metabolic activity of "extremely muscular physiques" going through rigorous training sessions DAILY - sometimes 2 cardio sessions + 2 training sessions, frequent meals, high protein...etc - TEE + TEF increases certainly support the need for MUCH HIGHER CALORIC INTAKE rather than SEVERELY REDUCED - which happens to be the case with many bodybuilding "gurus" advisers...
Poor bodybuilders would "kill" their metabolisms and as soon as contest is over - even once "normal" caloric intake would now represent by far too much calories for starved body - thus all extra calories would instantly be stored as body fat...EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT BODYBUILDERS WANT...
etc, etc...God, I must go to work...
Anyway - I want to point out ONE thing:
when you prepare some athlete for bodybuilding show - you should consider EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to create logical and most effective diet regimen, training program and contest preparation protocols - resulting in spectacular condition of the athlete...who would in process of dieting for that contest:
1) not just maintain but INCREASE muscle mass while getting rid of body fat in process (YES, very possible IF you know what you are doing)
2) Get rid of level of bodyfat needed to be considered WINNER in bodybuilding contest (which could be debatable what is that LEVEL) - but nevertheless -devoid your body of unnecessary body fat...
3) Maintain general health by making sure all necessary essential nutrients are present in diet of human being engaged in extreme physical efforts who is trying to make favorable changes in body composition - and those changes being of extreme nature: highest amount of muscle mass increases (and if particular - specific changes in specific regions...Not always changing just MASS component but sometimes SHAPE, quality...etc), loss of body fat, manipulation of extracellular/intracellular water...with electrolytes...and GLYCOGEN storage in muscle as well as liver....Manipulation in sense of increasing capacity of glycogen storage + directing water/electrolytes of choice - INSIDE the cells...and getting rid of extracellular water...thus achieving that winning combination bodybuilders wan...
4) Increasing (instead of decreasing) metabolism - as contest prep calls for INCREASED physical activities - thus making it possible to safely INCREASE amount of calories rather than decreasing - to me COMPLETE NONSENSE that many compettors follow as many "gurus' recommend...
...well, as I have to go - I can't finish...but I want to make sure I make a point:
I show guys how to do everything 100% - and going for 100% sometimes leaves chances for mistakes...
Mistakes are most commonly visible in EXCEEDING AMOUNT OF CARBS in relation to GLYCOGEN CAPACITY of the athletes...
So, when some athlete starts carb loading - or carb manipulation - they could leave it at any stage in process of "filling" the glycogen stores back up (after depletion phase)...
If anyone is chicken-shit - they would play safe and just NOT CARB LOAD at all or take minimal amount of carbs - as they would simply NOT WANT ANY RISKS...
Well, some actually do RISK and take chances - to get much higher percentage of glycogen storage - making their physiques much bigger, fuller, even tighter - IF done perfectly...
But, when someone like DJ - "who wold like to f.ck...but doesn't want to really stick it in" (term I use for someone who wants me to help him with - observing how far could he go with glycogen repletion - but he doesn't want me to see him every couple of hours - as Oh, my back hurts and I want to quit the contest, lying on his back in front of his family - telling me that he can't let me see him pose - day before the show...and who goes for that last meal - where he could let carbs alone at that point - being almost maxed out anyway - decides to have BINGE and keeps eating like there is no tomorrow, going to restaurant next door in quest for whatever he didn't find in one I was seating with his family...and simply OVERFILLS his storage - yet doesn't let me see him...YES IT IS GREAT POSSIBILITY - I gave him a bad advice and thus - becoming responsible for his disastrous result in Colorado show...- which BTW I accepted responsibility for...
I failed as a trainer and a coach - as I considered our friendship and "emotions" and felt bad enough to call him big baby in front of his wife and daughter and demand to see him every hour and watch him eat every bite - in fear that he could be one of those who once starts binging could not stop for a life of him...
What's important for me to mention - athletes mentioned here (as many others) I helped for FREE - as a friend...and more often than not - paying for my own transportation/hotel accommodation - while helping them compete - instead of staying home with MY FAMILY making my living...
As I failed to "create a miracle" I guess - I am ridiculed and made fun off - by the very people I helped...?!
And comments they make are intended for what - making me more business or pushing people away - so I absolutely don't?
And that is the sad truth of "IFBB camaraderie"...I guess...
For what is worth - Silvio and DJ - could bring ANY guru and than some in front of me and challenge me and my knowledge - to show them with pleasure how I measure up against others...
And that challenge I also accept publicly
