Yep, i hate it. Always terrible for me in the morning. Sneezing fit and red, itchy eyes.

Whay my doc told me certainly helps though. Get yourself a 24 hr antihistamine tablets and take one before you go to bed. Whenever i do this i wake up the next morning and 8 out of 10 mornings im pretty good.

Definietly give it a go.
No doubt about it...

The eyeball or the eyelid?  If it's the eyelid, do they swell too?

Eyelid. Swell a little bit, but nothing major.

How do you feel when you take a non drowsy allergy tablet?

yes, the shit kicks my ass.  I've always had this fuckhell problem.  I almost never get sick from a cold or flu, it's been almost 10 years since I got sick, but fucking pollen, kicks my ass every spring.  You can take something like benadryl but for me it's not an option, it's like taking a bottle of sleeping pills and I'm out for the count.

Here's some of the shit I do that helps.
Make sure you have a filtration system in the home that filters pollen and make sure it's running 27/7.  If you don't, a cheap alternative is to buy a 20X20 filter and tape it to the back of one of those 20 dollar 20X20" fans and set it in a place that will cirulate the best.  I use these in addition to the home's filtration system.  This will actually help you even when you leave the house.  Exposure to pollen all day long is the worst so if part of your day is in a pollen free zone your time outdoors will actually not be quite as bad.

Make sure to wash your face, around your eyes a few times a day.

If you're having a major attack, wash your face, take clean fresh COLD water and suck that water right through your nose.  Burns like shit for a few minutes but stops the histamine attack and rinses out the pollen.  Then take an ice pack and hold it over your nose and eyes for a few minutes.

oh and if you have a dog or cat, give them a bath too.  They're pollen magnets.
