I ws a fan of his when he was on the cover of MD, i Have both MD issues detailing his arm training. Impressed with him that he was a fat kid changed his ways. But he's got a wide waist like Chick, great arms, shallow chest, okay legs, and okay back. But the whole take 18 months off deal, when you have Vic, Phil, Jay, Dex, Kai, Dennis all vying wasn't the smartest thing to do. If anything he needed to get his name out, at worst it showed, he wasn't ready. And the whole, he'll be Mr. O? The man was too scared to face the pros as soon as got his pro card. Did you see that of Phil Heath who was winning right out of the gate. No, you didn't. Did you see that of Richard Jones, who is a light weight, but came in thrid at the NOC. No you didn't. I think it's a confidence thing, and his confidence was shook. I could be wrong. As i said, he has a ton of names to thru and all are better than him structurally, including Dennis Wolf. If Alex Federov came back, Evan would have a hard time with him, and this was the guy who was billed as beating Ronnie.
i think most people are rooting for him because A.) He's white, and underneath it all, they can't stand all these black bodybuilders especially Kai. And the majority of the bbing audience is white, the majority who post here are white. So logically... B.) he's from the East coast, and it's good to see a East coaster do some damage.
Further more, these are no longer the days of Dennis Newman, Mike Francois, Paul Demayo, who I firmly believe make Evan look like a science experiment gone wrong. They were top notch. Chris Cook had a awesome shape, yet couldn't dail it in. Alex Federov would have been scary if it were not for that torn pec and back asymmetry. Dennis Wolf is still in the cooker. he's like a larger version of Roland Czoirlok (sp)
