Here's a youtube video showing how the Taliban handled her case. They appear to be lenient.

We can't possibly understand this unless we take the position of cultural relativists...

That is to say, we must try to understand the issues in the local context of the area, i.e. the place is islamic, sharia (infallible law of God) is the law, and under that culture their actions are OK, even commendable simply because it's their culture. To view these issues from our enlightened cultural position would be wrong (even tho if we apply logic cultural relativism breaks down at the first hurdle)... remember we used to do all this shit too... 1000 years ago!

It sucks for them but I fail to see how this is a problem for us (the West); we waste money and resources on retards in countries like this when we should be saving and (to some extent) spending domestically. I agree beyond how words can portray! I'm really just trying to empathises the position some people take in regards to other cultures by accepting their intolerance and primitiveness by means of cultural relativism.

However... the problem is... we've been importing and appeasing their medieval customs for so long IN OUR OWN COUNTRIES it's become a domestic problem across the EU, UK, Aus and US.

Come to Manchester, I will show you no-go areas for non-muslims where they have made mini-Pakistan's and mini-Sudans.

Don't get me wrong... I enjoy Chinatown in Manchester... but we're talking about radically different types of "cultures" here.

Exactly. We have given them what they percieve as an enemy (the "evil USA") that unites them in their inferiority. The basis of their "unitedness" = their inferior religion.
30 years ago it was almost uncommon to go to the mosque for grown egyptians in many areas. Today they are getting fanatical at times....

The good thing is that their religious crap keeps them from focusing on modernizing their society, science ect, which in turn means that their actual power in the world = diminishing.

That's different. I am talking about going out and invading their countries=complete waste of time, money and resources. Where there are problems at home they should be met and solved; I am just opposed to this foreign adeventurism.
