Well my car just got towed to the mechanic to fix the starter. How much is this gonna cost me??

Luckily I have a friend picking me up for work in a bit.

not yet but we have been in touch via text message about setting up a training session-were gonna train together on Wed and then hit the chinese buffett after hopefully.

labor is like 50 dollars an hr and it takes two hours so 500 maybe

Aww too bad Gene, I know how to replace my starter myself. Saves a ton of money. You should learn, it's not that hard. Probably gonna run you about 200-300 unless they screw you. Good luck.

The starter is the second easiest part to change on a car, outside of a battery.
2 bolts, and one wire leading to the battery.
Hardest thing to do is get to it. Usually will take no more than 15min on an easily accessible car, and around an hour if you have a pain in the ass car.
Of course there are occasions where you strip a bolt or an oddity of that sort. But overall, even a weak chickie can do it.
