Silvio and Hide are two bodybuilders I could do without seeing - they may be good enough to place high and even win shows, but they aren't very impressive compared to the standards set by the guys in the 90s.

The competitors in the 90s were the best......Cotrell, Benfatto, Baker, Ray, Dillett, Flex, Cormier, John Sherman....... the list is too long.

That is when bodybuilding was still entertaining and appealing to people around the globe. Today, it is over the top.....too much synthol.....too much of an emphasis on size at all costs without aesthetics and shape.

Without muscle, you cant count symmetry, proportion nor condition.

But he is the biggest name in the judges eyes in terms of competition history, previous placings etc.

that being said, I doubt the NY crowd will let the judges get out alive if silvio wins over an impressive freak live Ruhl or Centopani

I'm not a fan of Silvio's at all.  I agree, his attitude sucks.  He's like Gustavo except is physique is a lot better and he wasn't gifted 3rd place at the O twice in a row.  I'd much rather see Ruhl or Centopani win this one.

I beg to differ - a prime Gustavo is a much better (and bigger) bodybuilder than the little midget that is Silvio, who is just a bunch of bodyparts put together in an odd way. Silvio is tiny, but has a gut and has some of the smallest shoulders ever. Plus he looks weird in some poses because of his shape. Him and Hide are probably the most overrated and over-hyped bodybuilders today.
