You're insinuating he has no chance of winning, ergo why compete  ;)

Thats not flip flopping and if you read my first couple of posts on the topic, you will see that I have stated that Evan is playing with house money at this point and that he has nothing to lose by competing.  He wont win the O, but he might place well and elevate his financial status by exposing himself to some of the major sponsors out there.....the fans love him.

I agree with you 100%. I think he should do it, although I have a feeling he won't. You can't argue with his track record his worst placing was 2nd to Desmond Miller in the Nationals.

I would like to see him do it, knowing he can't crack the top six. And if somehow he did that would be hugh!!!

Playing with house money?  How so?  He's already doing fine in the sponsorship department with Universal and MD.  The new breed of pros don't have the goods to compete right away like the Levrones and the Wheelers.  Back then, when a guy turned pro, he had to go through VERY TOUGH COMPETITION to get a pro card.  Today, oftentimes a guy can turn pro because everyone else sucks and he's the only one decent enough to take the crown.  Phil understands this, and so does Evan.  They are good but need more time in the gym to really compete with the top guys.

The attention is flattering lads, but I'll be sitting this one out.

Word is: they're testing for Plazmosis this year.

In my humble opinion, I think he had better skip the O this year and prepare for the 2010 Arnold Classic, win it and then shoot for the 2010 O and be a serious contender.  He will be 28 years old then    ;)

I liked his classically built physique and his great legs.  :)

Really he has the best calves I have ever seen.  8)

If he can peak twice in a year I think he can be top 10 for sure, so again, why not?

Phil heath waited to beef up.
Evan doesn't need to do that, IMO.
Do the show, get top 10, and consider it a win for 2009.

his marketability might drop if he is tied for 16 and beaten by a few scrubs at the O.
Even Phil heath, who dominated his first 2 shows, didn't compete at the O right away.
Evan could have been 3rd at this show.  If it were held in TX or Cali, he probably would have been 3rd.

Make up your freaking mind Rob Viral-O...  "song" or "no song"?

At the Olympia Evan Centopani can make a place between 8-10, if heīs in the same condition/or better than in NY.

Jackson
Heath
Wolf
Cutler
Greene
Freeman
Warren

he canīt beat in 2009.  i also donīt believe that he will entering the stage in Las Vegas. His mentor (Oscar) also had enough work to prepare Kai Greene for the Mr. Olympia.

He has a great build and potential, he should now take the rest of the year off and try to place top 3 at next years Arnold, hes realistically 2 to 3 years of being Top6 at the Olympia, but he has the potential to go along way if he takes his time and doesnt burn out. The Arnold next year and the year after that trying to win the Arnold would be good steps to eventually making it to the Olympia.

I'd say no, And don't believe he deserved the NY Pro, but congrats to him for the win, however politically motivated it was. A win is a win.

The reason why I say no is the same reasons that many have given. But I don't think Evan could place well in this current crop unless the top bodybuilders were taken out by some sort of mysterious flu or bad grilled chicken the night before the Olympia.

I firmly believe that Evan has neither the structure nor the "WOW" factor that a true champion possess. His waist is wide, his torso is "odd", back ok, and legs are descent...arms are his best attribute...but in the company that he's in now...he needs more than some descent arms...I was disappointed that he didn't live up to the hype that was surrounding him, I was expecting a phenom.

He could take 2-3 yrs off and he still won't be better, possibly worse, plus, there are some true up and comers that can and will blow him out of the water...namely Roelly Winklaar and Brandon Curry.

Plus, he is not black, right, 'Parker'?
