this is an absolutely ridiculous conversation about insulin
i strongly advise any of you out there who read this thread and think insulin is a good idea and easy to use to reconsider - AAS and GH are MORE THAN ENOUGH until you reach around 230 pounds and 5%, then maybe consider adding insulin.
the only thing insulin ever did for me was add disgusting jiggly fat all over, it came off quick but was like cellulite. did more harm than good, i gained weight but it was nothing but fat, and I only took 5-10 iu post workout - thats it. I almost passed out a couple of times too - this was youthful indiscretion - and I honestly hope someone out there reads this and reconsiders.
These other guys tossing the word insulin around like its no big deal and is mandatory if your a serious bodybuilder are clearly not experienced with it, at least they don't have any sound or safe advice.
i agree.
part of the whole problem with the information you read about insulin use is spread by those who read and repeat what they have read in the past that have no real world experience with it.
insulin, if you take it the way it is widely accepted that it should be taken will make you fat. there is a way to take it that will not make you fat, but you prolly won't find guys like jtsuami laying it out for you because they just don't know how to use it properly.
this thread is rife with it. 'take x amount of carb per x i.u of insulin'. wrong.
everyone taking in their 10 i.u of insulin and follow it by chugging down their 70-100 gram carb source the way it is 'supposed' to be done from what you read on the boards are goingto get fat.
people forget to use insulin's biggest advantage to their benefit- it is as much of a shuttling mechanism as it is a storage hormone.
and thats all im going to say about it.
those who know what i'm talking about will be the first to say insulin can be used to promote lean gains, without dropping the amount of insulin you are administering. those who don't know what i'm talking about, or can't figure it out are doomed to keep getting fat using insulin conventionally.
