Actually most of the "enemy combatants" released by the US were turned over to their home countries.

Many of these guys, didn't face trial and were released even though they were supposed to.

No, he's on TV right now telling us that locking them up in Super max prisons - which is where Ramsey Yousef and Zacharias Moussoui are serving life sentences now - is the best idea.

Why not?  They're bad guys and we can't set them loose.  Lock them up in SuperMax prisons for life.  Obama doesn't want to release them, he wants to solve the problem by locking them up for life.

I think we're all cool with that, no?

Trying them in the US system and giving them life sentences in a maximum security prison is the answer.

They are no longer a problem, they aren't highlighted on the news.  The Red Cross isn't all over it, nor is al-jazeera.

They are given life sentences, and never heard from again.  Besides, this eliminates the chance that the NEXT president will release 2/3 of them, Like bush did.

If that is the case as the Republicans claim, wouldn`t you rather have them in the Supermax where none of the above occurs and is a real prison environment and have Gitmo closed?
