Was Jay a fridge in 1996?

This was Jay in 1996 coming in second place at the Nationals. I think he was 241-246 pounds. Was he a fridge?

Can you imagine if ESPN aired a current pro show.   I'm sure Kai Greene doing upsidedown bicycle kicks would really attract new fans to the sport.  As would Toney Freeman shaking his sparkling thong.  Christ all mighty.

nobody would be entertained by that 1996 broadcast. very very boring stuff for anyone who isnt already a fan of bodybuilding. needless to say that old school stuff would not make any new fans of bodybuilding.

at least the modern posing routines are entertaining.

Jay had complications with his pregnancy.

His skin just hasn't "snapped back" since.
