INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
5 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces
1/2 cup butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup water
1 cup ketchup
1 cup hickory smoke flavored barbeque sauce
1 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
Place ribs in large skillet or roasting pan. Cover with lightly salted water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour, or until meat is tender, but not quite falling off the bone. Remove from heat, and drain.
Place the boiled ribs in a roasting pan, and cover with sauce. Cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook the onion and garlic in butter until the onion is tender; remove from heat. In a blender, combine 1 cup water, vinegar, ketchup, barbeque sauce, and lemon juice. Pour in the melted butter mixture, and puree for 1 minute. Pour into a saucepan, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
Brush grill grate with oil. Grill ribs for 10 to 20 minutes, or until well browned, basting with sauce and turning frequently

Or if they are the thick, meaty kind....throw them in the crock pot w/lots of bbq sauce and cook on low for 8 hours....or put in a pan w/lots of sauce and put in the oven for 3 hours

There only small,

It's not a huge rack of ribs, they're individual, about 6 inch long, 1/2 inch thick

I'm only cooking them in a home oven

That's when the bone comes clean off the meat as it should be.

key for nig nogs like me  ::) is we like our ribs moist not like fukcin road kill.  heat the over to 225 cook for 2.5 hours  be sure rib is on rack with atleast a 1/2 inch of water(this keeps the pork suculent). baste frequently with sauce.

One rule: slow & low

They don't usually teach white folks that, but that's really all you need to know. :)

Based on the information you have provided you have the body type that is 'non pork rib protein responsive'.  ;)

Grill them for abou 7-8 hours at 250 degrees, put the fire to one side and a pan of water to the other.  Ad some water soaked wood chips on the charcoals. Test the ribs by picking them up with some tongs if the bend and start to pull off the bone they are done, if not leave them on. Baste them the last 15 minutes.

Here's how I do mine and here's what you need.

3-4 lbs. country style ribs (boneless)
1 lg. bottle BBQ sauce
1 thinly sliced onion
Brown sugar
Garlic powder

Place ribs in 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with garlic and bake at 400 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Remove from oven and lower the temperature to 250 degrees. Drain fat from meat and sprinkle with a little more garlic and brown sugar to taste. Pour BBQ sauce on top with thinly sliced onion and bake 3 more hours at 250 degrees. Don't over cook!  ;D

Forget the oven.  First, take your charcoal grill (not gas) and load about six handfuls of coals on the left side of the grill.  Soak the coals and light them and allow them to burn white in about 20 minutes.  Lay your ribs meat side up on the opposite side of the grill and place a pan of hot water under them for steamin purposes.  Add a handful of wood chips to the fire every 15-20 minutes for the next 2 to 2.5 hours (close grill lid while smoking).  During the last 20 minutes of cooking brush the pork ribs with bbq sauce every 5 minutes.  Remove from grill and let sit for about 10 minutes then slice and eat.

Some great tips and recipes in thread. I wonder if TA is going to chime in and say Mickey D's McRib is superior to anything cooked at home?

LOL. That would not be one of my criteria for eating such beautiful food. I would eat it even if it was catabolic.  ;)
