IMO Lex Lugar should have never became a horseman. The originals were Arn Tully, Ole and Flair. Anything else afterwards was a failure and didn't last or get the heel fanbase that those originals did in 85' 86'.

From what I've gathered Ole really didn't fit in to the jetsetting lifestyle that the Horsemen were about.  And they actually lived that life when they came thru cities/towns.  Ole was much, much older and not into that scene anymore.  I think Windham was much better than Luger...I really don't count anybody else and the garbage versions in WCW were a joke and not to be counted either.

Windham was a great wrestler in his heyday.

I think Roma was great for the squad. I tell you I also liked it when Benoit and Malenko were on the team. Mongo was the one that messed it all up. It should have been Buff. Mongo was probably the worst Horseman ever. How did that guy ever get into wrestling? And Deborah?

That's how he got into wrestling.

I always thought that if he hadn't gone to the WWF and became the Red Rooster, that Terry Taylor would have made an excellent Horsemen.  Another one could have been Austin, when he was Stunning Steve in the WCW.  Imagine Ric, Arn, Pillman and Austin.  I don't mention Tully because he was gone from WCW by that point with no return.

I remember watching Terry Taylor on a local southwestern promotion back before his WCW days... He was their TV champ and wore a medallion and not a belt.

He was good... The Red Rooster was a terrible gimmick and I wonder if Vince didn't make him use it as a slap to those southern promotions back in the day.

Crockett was trying to mould Luger into the NWA's version of Hulk Hogan but it never worked. Paul Roma as a Horseman is an insult. He was wrestling as a jobber on the third card up north in the WWE. You don't put a jobber like Roma in a stable as elite as the four horsemen. Watch the Horseman DVD and you'll see how they all carve Roma.

Funny...
Vince tried to do the exact same thing with Luger after Hogan's WWF departure in '94.

And he got the same results.

He was terrible. The only thing I ever saw him do I liked was rack the Big Show and also that big dude Road Block. Other then that the guys was dirty toilet paper. Useless. The Lex Express was one of the dumbest angles I ever saw. Really broke my heart when I found out the first love of my life was shacking up with him. Tragedy.

I actually found it mind boggling that Elizabeth would be into the drugs. She was always like a flower that has bloomed and never wilted. Plus she was smokin' hot. Man oh man....mixing pain killers & Vodka...plus God knows what else. What was she thinking being with a guy like that?

Luger would seem to be the only explanation.
She apparently never had any (of those kinds of) problems while with Savage.

Although, maybe he drove here to it (j/k)! :D
I’ve read and heard that he was very overprotective of her and took some strange measures to keep her "isolated" from everyone.

Randy Savage was VERY jealous when married to Liz. According to Honky Tonk Man, Billy Jack Haynes and Ricky Steamboat interviews, Savage used to keep her locked up for hours at a time when the boys would go out or locked up in the dressing room the size of your bathroom until it was showtime to go to the ring.

Yeah.
I don’t know which was more strange – his actions, or her for putting up with it for as long as she did.
Did she really think that was “normal” behavior?

Still, she got fvcked up on pain meds & booze and died while with Luger.
Maybe Savage was “protecting” her from becoming like a Tammy Sytch of sorts.
He saw the kind of drug and substance abuse that was around in those days. Perhaps that was what he was trying to keep her from. :-\

We know she didn't die while she was married to the Macho Man.

Exactly my point.
Savage was strange, but she was alive with him.

Luger fucked her up with booze and drugs but in the end, she made the decision to do it.

It's a shame what happened to her. I forget who said it but when she died he said that "she was too good to be in this buisiness". FWIW, Macho has said he doesn't blame Lex for her death.

I don’t blame Lex either - I doubt he physically forced her to ingest those substances.
I blame the lifestyle – the lifestyle that Lex (and Liz) apparently led.

Authorities seized how many vials of shit from his townhouse after Liz’s death.
Who knows what all he was involved in?
But he’s found God, was born again and is all better now. ::)

Lol....found God.....how many times have we all heard that one  ;D

Lugar was a drug bag especially with the recs and he was a boozer. He had many, many DUI's and he also physically assulted elizabeth and left her with black eyes before she died. Very sad.

"Fell down the steps" is ususally code for "physical assault."

From what the toxoligy reports show, Liz was pretty drugged up too. Xanax, Pain killers and boozed up with Vodka. She really went off the deep end too. Not all Lugers fault. She put the pills and booze in her mouth herself. What the hell happened to that woman? Unbelievable. In the end, they all fall victim to the celebrity / media / high roller phase and the money gets to them all.
