Here's the Deal

In the UK, the skinhead movement was just about a group of people who enjoyed punk music/reggae music, wore differen't clothes and shaved their heads. It had nothing to do with race, a lot of black guys were skinheads Eventually, skinheads were alligned with the national front, a racist politicial movement.

So no, Dorian was not a character from American History X

I shaved my hair real short with a number 1 guard.  I looked like such a moron I couldn't stand it.  My head is just too damn big.

If you have a good round head, shaven head is ok but if it has bumps and looks deformed or perhaps if you have a cone head, I advise against it, unless god has chosen that path for you.

you could even grow it on top a little and keep the sides short
