Why the fuck do they use tires? Is it to look cool or macho? What's wrong with real iron plates? Fucking tool
For the benefit of the ignorant audience. It looks heavy.
it is heavy
Plates mean nothing to a nonlifter. 4 or 8 plates, can't see or understand the difference.
Look i am deadlifting and as I have said 8 plates were my personal best - but you have to give credit to his lift this is HEAVY, and there are other lifts from him where he deadlifts crazy weight and real plates.
8 plates each side?
I'd love to try that set-up myself though. A while ago I tried a heavy rack lockout without straps. Held 1K for a 3 count.
Ha.
Who said it isn't heavy? I was commenting on why they use the big tires instead of regular bar and plates.I'd love to try that set-up myself though. A while ago I tried a heavy rack lockout without straps. Held 1K for a 3 count.
great way to fuck up your back.
Strong back = fewer injuries, less back pain. The ones with the worst back pain never deadlift IME. Deadlifts = best back rehab.
I agree here... only time I fucked my back was the months I pussied out of deadlifts!lesson learned...Hey van,Do you know much about compressive loads on the vertebrae and disks?I mean 1000lbs is a lot of weight on that structure...
I gotta admit that such loads probably aren't healthy. Don't know about the science. I did it mostly to see if my grip would hold. The bar bites back and the hands feel very raw after.
Holy fucking shitballs - my personal best is 8 20kg plates which I though for a while I never crack - he probably warms up with twice the amount.
