2009 NPC Junior Cal Info & Pictures

The 2009 NPC Junior Cal contest has a new home this year, in Rosemead, California (which is very close to Pasadena).   Here is the flyer from the show. For more information, please go to www.npcjuniorcal.com



Some facts from a few past contests -
 
Last year's Figure Overall lineup had: Mona Lisa Reyes, the A Class winner (former Overall winner of the Cal), Ali Olson, the B Class winner (who went on to win the Overall at the Excalibur), Anna Brown, the D Class winner, who went on to do very well at the Emerald Cup this year, and winner Brianne Shaw, of C class ... to show you how strong it was.

In 2007, Kiyoshi Moody, who won the overall, won his class twice at the Team Universe since. Leo Delaine, who won at last year's Junior Cal, just finished second in the HW class at last week's Cal.

He sure knows how to pick his venues.  I was hoping he'd pick the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Auditorium (former home of the Ironman Pro Invitatonal).

The venue is a nice venue, close to Pasadena, and for you, there is an In and Out Burger place right across the street, or close to it!  Have you even been to the Rosemead High School Auditorium?

And don't forget - Jay Cutler will be guest posing at the show, as his comeback tour for the Olympia crown continues...

And, do you have any idea how hard it is to even get an open date at any venue? And, do you know what places like Redondo Beach cost for a day? Quite a lot lately....

Yeah I figured cost would be an issue.  I don't know how much   but I can imagine!!!!  I now remember the manager for the Auditorium in RB not allowing any gym bags or trophys  in the seating area.   But yeah   cost must be an issue...I agree now.  Imagine the clean up dutie the days after....all the pro tan marks,  dream tan smears.....Pam oil stains,   rice cake crums, etc etc.

I am exactly 188 lb  right now.   So if you are in the 170's,  you got me beat!!!!!  I am hoping to make the 175 cut for the collegiates   but won't kill myself to make it.

Rumor is Brad Castleberry is competing and in pretty bad ass shape... not the best esthetic physique but he's got a shot...
