How are results of people who take alot of b-12?

How are results who megadose it orally?


Since there is "no known toxicity" it would make sense to go all out on this stuff. Or learn/figure out how to increase its absorbtion rate (already know part of that answer=yogurt)

A friend of mine takes it orally and he swears by it. It made him "happier", made hem loose a little fat but for him the best advantage is de nice fine mood you get from it. He started taking it like they recommended, but then he started o.d.-ing on it. no problems so far. In my opinion everything that the body doesnt needs it gets rid of it in terms of excrement.

How do you define oral "megadose?"
It doesn't take much to go over % Daily Value.
1 1000 mcg serving is 16667% of the RDA.

  I've taken up to a gram of b-12 and got nothing from it, either good bad. Worthless if you ask.

b-12 is barely absorbed when taken orally, i think the number is something like 1%(unless bound in foods)

injecting is the way to go

Yes true, oral is not so efficient as injectable B12.

  I knew someone would bring this up. No, I really took a gram. That was an amount of 10 bottles of b-12 at once. Each tab had 400 micrograms(400 thousands of a miligram) and I took 2,500 of them over an entire day to see if an uber dose would do anything. It didn't, except that I got a brutal stomach ache and spend the next three days vomiting - and had my liver enzymes shoot through the roof.

What I know is that it's pretty easy to eliminate "overdose" through orine, it's an hydrosoluble vitamin. I didn't know about that low oral absortion... I use to take 2000% per day (easy with n.o. xplode and red bull (sugar free of course haha), and no problem at all.

Insofar as I know, there's only one actual recorded instance of hypervitaminosis, and that involved Vitamin A.  A guy was eating a pound of Polar Bear livera day and ended up with hypervitaminosis, though it wasn't fatal, and he recovered right after he ceased to eat the liver.  He was injesting, as I recall, something on the order of one million times the USRDA.

  I did some crazy stuff in my younger days, like taking 500 grams of glutamine on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning, and then go sprinting to see if that would boost my GH levels - sprinting causes a massive surge of lactic acid, lowering blood PH, and thus causing the hypothalamus to release GHRH.

Holy cow...you're the man. Can't say I've never done the same type of shit before. I one time to 50 grams of vitamin c in a 24 hour period - to see what would happen. Well, my piss glowed for about two days & I had the shits for two days too.
