I plan on consuming a lot of olive oil as I'm trying to follow a high fat diet.

What's the difference between the two,

is Extra Virgin absolutely necessary?

Extra use to be the first pressure, it's the best quality (higher level of EFAs...). Then they repress the olives again and again and take more oil, but lower quality.

extra virgin is the least processed, therefore it has more good stuff in it.

Current goal is based getting a really clear complexion with vibrant, smooth skin.

High fat seems to be the best for this. I'm experimenting with which foods cause acne

I haven't actually gone to the gym in over 10 weeks

My skin in clear, but I do sometimes get breakouts, and so I'm trying to pinpoint the foods that cause them.

extra virgin olive oil has a lighter taste and is usually more expensive.   its best when used raw, such as in salad dressings or poured over food after cooking.  regular olive oil is used for frying or sauteing.  it's a waste to heat extra virgin olive oil

yep first pressing of the olives, best stuff.  Virgin meaning; first time, not done before.

Correct. Olive oil can be extracted using chemicals. Extra virgin not. Moreover the acidity of extra virgin must be lower than 1%. The lower the acidity the better the quality.

I had the same problem with break-outs but changed my diet and now have no probs.

What I did was cut out all sugar except from fruit and also totally stopped drinking caffeine. This is the most important factor IMO.

QTF.  Olive oil is one of the least heat tolerant oils.  Heat it, kill it.
