NO explode is all in the mind

my training partner was going to try NO explode for the first time... (he has no idea how it taste)

so i thought to myself it would be a good time to do a little experiment.

he drinks a energy drink prior to working out so he has a caffeine tolerance...

I gave him some kool aid with a crushed no dose in it.. basically the same contents of an energy drink

after he told me he's never felt so pumped and NO is the greatest pre workout supplement ever blah blah blah....

sugar is a good vasodialator ands inhibits cortisol too...

I went to a gym once where one of the older guys would sell "placebo" supps to new members.  Everytime a new guy would show up, if they were primiarily and ab shooter, he would offer to sell them some (product X) at a reduced price because his stomach couldn't take it, etc.... then he would charge them for a jug of koolaid mixed with whatever else....kinda sad.  But he was a little crazy, so I kept my piehole shut.

For some people (and maybe you've gotta be old, I don't know), there is *some* tiny benefit, but I can state to an absolute certainty that there's VERY little bang for the buck.  There's maybe a 4-5% boost in performance, which amounts to an extra few reps during the course of a workout.

a serving of no dose plus koolaid about 15 cents tops
a serving of no explode about 1-2$ depending where you bought it

yes.

it's pretty much the only supplement i use religiously apart from isolate.

Creatine is cheaper and gives a better pre-workout boost.  Some people take both, but they're wasting money on the NO.

only one ive tried is PMD PLATINUM PUMP FUEL, and let me tell you that stuff had me feeling godlike for about 5 hours straight. no placebo there

I trained with my friends a while ago...they were all psyched on NOexplode. They claimed how it made them feel so pumped and they had such great workouts. I took a serving with them before our workout. It didn't make me feel a bit different and when I told them that they suddenly were not psyched on it anymore. It really is a placebo.
