How rude. What happened to Obama's statement that he couldn't abandon Wright? ("I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother . . . .")

(CNN) — The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the former Chicago pastor whose racially-charged sermons threatened to implode President Obama's primary bid last year, is again making waves over recent comments about his current relationship with the commander-in-chief.

"Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me," Wright told Virginia newspaper The Daily Press when asked if he still spoke with Obama. "I told my baby daughter, that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office."

"They will not let him to talk to somebody who calls a spade what it is," he added. "I said from the beginning: He's a politician; I'm a pastor. He's got to do what politicians do."

The former pastor of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama was a congregant for nearly two decades, also told the paper he holds no grudges against the president's very public break from Wright last year.

"He's my son. I'm proud of him," Wright said. "I've got five biological kids. They all make mistakes and bad choices. I haven't stopped loving any of them. He made mistakes. He made bad choices. I've got kids who listen to their friends. He listened to those around him. I did not disown him."

Wright, who became a lighting rod for criticism last year after members of the media unearthed controversial sermons criticizing the U.S. government, also said he has no regrets for the heated language he has used on the pulpit.

"Regret for what…that the media went back five, seven, 10 years and spent $4,000 buying 20 years worth of sermons to hear what I've been preaching for 20 years?" he said. "Regret for preaching like I've been preaching for 50 years? Absolutely none."

Obama doesn`t like Wright. In fact, I believe Obama is an atheist given that both of his parents were Atheists and he is too smart to believe in fairy tales.

Its a shame that he pretends though and he should be honest if he is an atheist.

It is not his fault that Americans are too stupid to handle a publicly avowed Atheist as President at this present time.

I do think he has done very well in dropping us atheists hints that he is either with us or one of us, especially during major speeches including his inaugural address.

Do I wish he would come out of the Atheist closet if he is in it? Yes.

Can America handle it? Nope. They are too much enthralled by their Sky God and Zombie son.

religion-logic fueled right wingers are the most dangerous and corrosive force in american politics today. the absolutely cannot be trusted to do either the right thing or what is best for the american people. they are by far the most willing to use violence and war, especially to deal with issues they simply cannot or are unwilling to understand.

Seriously, what is up with the overall level of hatred the right is spewing lately? I've heard Beach Bum rant about "leftwing" this and that nonstop for 2 days, when normally his posts have some semblance of balance and not one-sided hate phrases he lifted from Rush.

He's dismantly this country. He's turning his back on allies and befriending people who hate this country. I hate with an undying passion people who think they're entitled to anything, in this country. Obama is all about that. His actions day in and day create a pool of people who are under some impression that Uncle Sam will bail them out. He will make it impossible for businesses to flurish again. Microsoft is talking about leaving. The liberal hypocrisy coupled with the media's complete disregard for this asshole's agenda is shocking. He needs to go.
