Nick Diaz doesn’t love the sport
« on: June 10, 2009, 08:08:56 PM »
Oh that Nick Diaz, always saying SOMETHING controversial:

People will want to say, ‘Oh, you love what you do, that’s great.’ And they’re like, ‘Oh, he’s good for the sport (or) ‘He’s bad for the sport.’ I’ve got to tell you something, I don’t love this sport. I’m a fan of this sport, fine, whatever. …

You love and hate it, you know what I mean? I love fighting and I love competing, and I fight the best in the world and be the best in the world, but as far as this sport goes, it’s dirty rotten, just like boxing. As far as I’m concerned most sports are pretty crooked; that’s just the way it is.

Hey, I love jiu-jitsu and I love fighting and I love competition. But do I love this sport? (Heck) no.

This isn’t the first time Nick Diaz has shared his disdain for certain aspects of the sport. After all, this is a guy who’s had negative run-ins with both California and Nevada’s athletic commissions. Plus he’s been on the wrong side of several controversial decisions - losses he blames on a bias against him as a person. In the past he’s also gone off on rants before about pretty boys with painted toenails and retarded haircuts getting all the money, fame, and bitches. And do you even have to ask if Nick has a hard time dealing with promoters?

Long story short, Nick saying this is barely news because Nick has never minced words about his seething hatred / resentment towards 99% of the MMA industry. The dude has one of the biggest chips I’ve ever seen on on someone’s shoulder. Funny enough, it’s that chip that actually seems to cause the majority of the problems Nick has had. Well, the chip and his manager / coach Cesar Gracie, who seems to enjoy pouring gasoline on the flames of Nick’s insanity.
