Poll: Most Don't Know Who Speaks for the GOP

Quote
A 52% majority of those surveyed couldn't come up with a name when asked to specify "the main person" who speaks for Republicans today. Of those who could, the top response was radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh (13%), followed in order by former vice president Dick Cheney, Arizona Sen. John McCain and former House speaker Newt Gingrich. Former president George W. Bush ranked fifth, at 3%.

Actually, I heard that it was only four people who named her as their spokesperson, and one of them said something to the effect of, "That woman from Alaska."

And I suspect that it had less to do with the stewardess remark than it did with the fact that she's, well, a dingbat.

Poll: Most Don't Know Who Speaks for the GOP

As has been stated multiple times, on multiple news networks, this is par the course for the minority party. We saw much the same thing four years ago. Nobody could tell you who was running things for the Democrats: Dean? Pelosi? Reid? Clinton?

That's why Obama's emergence shocked everyone.

Bullshit.

When Obama gave the keynote speech at the DNC in 2004, he put the whole country he was on notice to run in 2008.

I think the 3% - all four of them - post here on getbig and call her "my girl" in their postings.   ::)

But hey.... whatever comforts them at night right?

Palin 2012 - Change even Lurker will be begging for.

It is going to take more than 3% of your 20% minority party within the GOP to get her on the ticket.

Good luck with those fantasies of yours.  After 2012 chances are you will forget her and go back to staring at your Pamela Anderson posters on your bedroom wall.

More political amnesia!!!

Do you know how utterly STUPID you sound, making such a statement? How is Obama going to announce his candidacy during the 2004 DNC?

That, genius, would have equated to the Dems' bascially handing over the 2004 election to George Bush, which they certainly did NOT do. Obama certainly wouldn't have run for office in '08, had Kerry won in '04.

Obama's speech indicated that he had a bright political future. But, the consensus was that Hilary would be the "anointed one", in the event that Kerry didn't get the job done.

But, as stated earlier, after the 2004 election, the Dems were every bit in as much disarray as the GOP is now: Bickering, finger-pointing, lack of leadership, identity-crisis, the whole ball of wax.

If Obama doesn't fix this economy, the only reason 333386 will forget about Palin is because the man who beat her in the GOP primary went on to become the 45th President; hence, the focus will be re-election.

Look, I have said many times, I like Palin very much and admit she needs work in a bunch of areas.

On the issues specifically, I think she is far better than ZERO, who is literally on  high speed dash to bankrupting us.

Show me where in alaska as Governor she has done that.

Additionally, compared to what Obama is doing spending us into disaster and racing us towards marxism, I could care less if Palin talked to fire ants at this point.

You think Palin would rein in spending? Come on? How many Republicans have done that is the last 30 years? ZERO. No one does. That is why we have a one party system.
