It's politics. The religious right is convinced Jesus will appear in Israel.

They definitely should attack Iran regardless of the election or anything else. My opinion is based upon several things: Iran can't launch a nuclear attack (big bomb) because they lack the technology and couldn't become the center of the Islamic world after killing that many Palestinians. But.... they just don't have the infrastructure or political stability required to secure the nuclear waste and some of it will end up killing Israelis or someone I actually give a crap about, us! The next Republican president will definitely be a hard-liner and we'll go billions in debt and lose tons of American lives trying to occupy Iran. It's cheaper for us all if Israel does this. We definitely benefitted from their attacking Iraq in the 80s.
