You know I've thought the same thing for years.  Many years ago I even asked a Jewish woman who was talking about anti-Semitism what the genesis of anti-Semitism was in the United States and she really didn't know.  Jealousy?  It's very strange.

I knew a guy just like that on my old ship.  Not the brightest guy and otherwise good at heart but completely ignorant and hateful towards Jews.  He changed his mind after about a week of knowing me.

i dont 'hate all jews', ive known many and several were good people. the thing i DO hate is how the state of israel is held to a completely different standards than any other nation. other nations are condemned for doing the same things, or even for lesser things than israel does/has done. its the enormous double-standard, and how the clueless morons in the media perpetuate and defend it so staunchly, that pisses me off. i also believe the holocaust was ironically the best thing to ever happen to the jewish people, because it has rendered them completely immune from any and all criticism and allows the state of israel to have a free hand to do basically anything it wants, including ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Oh I see.  Maybe you should try looking into who exactly is causing problems between Israel and the PL's.  Israel is not the one adhering to a double standard.  Palestinians have successfully negotiated that which they have no rights to using terrorism.  Every time Israel defends itself it is the bad guy and every time it is attacked it's STILL the bad guy because Palestinians refuse to accept responsibility for their actions.

Israelis attack militant targets in response to (and usually AFTER) concentrated threats, suicide bombings or indiscriminate rocket fire while Palestinians blow up civilian markets and transports specifically targeting women and children.
