Wait just a minute.

I thought you were against these organized groups, who go around whimpering about the allegedly non-existent Jesus Christ. Now, you're posting this gibberish by Hitchens, which as usual, is nothing more than the standard, warmed-over "Enlightenment period" silliness, which any decent apologist can tear apart.

Haven't heard any apologist ever tear Hitchens apart. I guess that is why they call it blind faith.

Then, I suggest you invest in some Q-tips. Most of his arguments are old, as are their refutation.

Or, as one author puts it....

I think, when you look at the overall horizon of the arguments about the Resurrection, I put it this way: The shallowness of the critic speaks louder than the voice of the believer. The lack of refutation, when I see just every year, like, a new theory comes up. Why? 'Cause nothing's held water. They're just grasping for something, constanly new theories, new theories, new theories. Why? Because they can't come up with anything solid that refutes it. - Josh McDowell

The Biblical scholars from the special, "Who Is This Jesus? Is He Risen" (which I've posted here in years past) can easily shred Hitchens' nonsense (and that's just the short list).  ;D

And, that barely takes into consideration the Biblical scholars who don't believe that Jesus was divine.

And of course, they too are wrong... ::)

Based on what, other than the usual "Jesus-myth" clucking, that has been carved like November turkey?

It's impossible to have a discussion with you MCWAY as I discovered long ago.

I posted this for people interested in watching not to argue over something we have argued over 100 times.

No, it's quite possible to have a discussion with me. You just seem a bit miffed over the fact, that I've countered many of the arguments you've presented with facts and references from Biblical scholars and historical sources. ;D

But, that leads me back to what I said earlier. Why are you looking for an audience for this? I thought you didn't like groups, such as this. Remember you fired off quite the criticism of atheist groups (i.e. American Atheists) and humanist clubs, especially those in California where people go on Sundays, as a counter to their Christian neighbors going to church.

Sigh. No one believes that you countered anything except your fellow fundamentalists. Still more important is the complete impossibility that any of the miraculous/supernatural claims of the Bible are true.

I posted this because there are people here who are not Christians who are interested in hearing things like this. A few random people. It has nothing to do with humanist clubs or atheist groups. Just a posting for a few getbiggers. You are off your rocker.

Complete impossibility? I don't think so. There's a reason it's called SUPERNATURAL.

Plus, I could argue that no one believes the stuff you've posted, except your fellow skeptics. But, that's another issue.

In other words, you are searching for people just like you, which is exactly what atheist groups and humanist clubs do. Yours just happens to be here online on this forum.

You can say that about anything. You can say that about people posting threads about beagles and pitbulls on the pets board.
