I saw the videos of the fans destroying stuff and setting some car on fire in LA near the Staples Center after the Laker win for the NBA title. wtf?
I just don't get why anyone would do that?
Hmmm let's see.I guess it goes like this
Wow I just won the lottery.
I am going to celebrate by trashing my house and setting my car on fire> wtf?

They were mostly black, but this kind of rioting after a win goes on with every race in different sports.
I remember seeing some white college kids near Boston trashing their campus after the Red Sox won the world series .
Soccer matches have some off the chain, crazy behavior as well.

The one pro team sport I love is hockey. I have season tickets for the ATL Thrashers, 4th row, only a few ft from the ice. The Penguins had a victory parade in Pittsburg a couple days ago and it was packed, 20 deep on both sides of the street. It was fun and orderly and the only thing they threw was comfetti.

The issue for me is about WHY anyone would trash their OWN place after a win.
At least in the ancient times it made sense when they would take over and burn the village, take the money and rape the woman. They may have been barbarians, but they had enough sense to wreck the other guys place.

Ya I could see it now. A bunch of crazed young dudes wearing Laker singlets go and trash Disney World ( near Orlando )and rape Minnie Mouse.

I will NEVER understand why ANYONE would trash their own town to celebrate or protest.
I remember when some folks trashed their own neighborhood during the Rodney King trial.
I could see it if they went up to Simi county and tried to trash the courthouse the trial took place in.

That is like some pro BB, winning a big contest and then he sets fire to his pic booth and smashes his car up to celebrate the win. wtf>?

Hey, give some people an excuse to drink alcohol, and party, and destroy and steal they will - who cares about other people. However, unfortunately, out of a crowd of thousands, about 50 of these people ruin it for all.

The Los Angeles Lakers Parade will be Wednesday at 11am, going from Staples Center to the Coliseum.

At least the city won't have to pay a lot of the overtime costs regarding this parade...

Lakers fans are notoriously shitty fans. all the reasons why many people cant stand LA, can be embodied by the average Laker fan. typically a bunch of arrogant, empty, bandwagoning douchebags.
