climate control huh ? i suppose getting carbon levels low and keeping them that way, even with super high carbon emissions... some kind of recyling system wich changes carbon to something else i guess... that would be the easy part... but how about reversing all the effects that the carbon has already had? besides the fact that theres zero guarantee of gainign technology to get and keep normal carbon levels
The real problem is one of overpopulation and if we apply Moore`s law of exponential growth to the current birth rate and do nothing about carbon emissions, we are looking at millions and even billions of refugees displaced, especially in third-world locations as there will be a  move inland to escape rising sea levels.

This will in turn put an immense strain on food supply, available farm land and also has the propensity to spread disease rampantly.

This will be the first sign of the ramifications of turning a blind eye to Climate change.

Perhaps we should have listened:

If the United States does not begin to fix healthcare and begin to manufacture and use clean energy, we are in for a long recession and if it has not happened already not already, the US will loose its superpower status to China in a few years. The US has been investing and prospering on unstable ideals. If they dont begin to manufacture renewable energy and invest in science and tech the US will never recover from this recession.

The US is still is the only nation where free enterprise can still thrive and no other country can say the same. The US provides the opportunity to its citizens to build a successful business. However, regulations are needed to maintain the ethical and longevity of businesses and not allow CEOs to bring down the system to make a boat load of cash at the expense of investors and tax payers and the overall economy. WE have allowed too much freedom to CEOS and businesses and we have deregulated our economy, thanks to the Bush admin.

We as a nation have invested our money too much in the finance sector and in other countries(ie. Iraq). We need to pay more attention to investing at home and producing plants that can produce reusable energy(ie solar, electric etc). In addition, our money needs to be invested domestically in science and technology. In order to solve the problems, we need to first clean up our debt and invest in healthcare, education, science and tech, and renewable fuel and set standards that will ensure integrity in businesses and have a 0 tolerance to fraud and unethical practices.

Perspicacious and prescient...

I should add a return to building modern nuclear power plants with fuel recycling...safe, effective, and the new designs won't meltdown.

Get an education dipshit; Moore's law has nothing to do with population growth. It only applies to the speed at which technology evolves; doubles every 18 months, chips, storage, information processing...

Epic pseudo intellectual web searching cut and paste and unable understand the content.

Actually that is not what Moore`s law is either if you want to be technical about it.  I was applying the common adage the "law" has taken on regarding exponential growth doubling in a rising trend.

Of course you were to dim-witted to realize this as you were also too dim witted to realize that Moore`s Law has become more than just a technological sole expanse of microprocessors.

LOL it  happened about 10 times with microchips since you were born.
