trying to help people understand the method behind the madness, when gh15 talks about insulin used for fat loss. its quite common knowledge it can be used to get into ketosis at a accelerated rate... but not as well known about its use along with carbs while dieting.

don't you think it's a little dangerous and stupid for you to post insulin use:
1. because misuse can kill you
2. you've never done it yourself
3. people know where you live, so they can hunt you down due to "wrongful" advice?

I agree with what you say, but you gotta remember, some people will go to extremes when it comes to weight loss. If a little works well, a lot will work better, and that can be bad when you play with insulin. I would advise them to clean up the diet, and if they wanted to manipulate insulin, play with some GDA's( R-ALA, Vanadyl,cinnamon,etc.) before telling anyone to play with exogenous insulin. Just to much room for error.

Taylor, you are incorrect.

Fat oxidation has very little to do with absolute calorie intake.

Since fat is regulated by insulin, and insulin's preeminent effect is to inhibit fat oxidation, then by default, anyone interested in fat loss has to embrace some degree of carbohydrate restriction.

Insulin controls fat, carbohydrates control insulin.
