everyone has some degrees of OCD.

I wouldn't worry about it bench and instead, try to use it for a good cause like posting 30k post on getbig in about a year...

it can be more habitual than physiological. there are some good books on it. 'The Brain That Changes Itself' by Norman Doidge has a good chapter on it.

Ive seen some nutcases at the gym.

one of them has to tap things [weights, machines, water fountain] until I guess he reaches some number in his head, moves on to do an exercise then does the tapping again. and he mumbles to himself.

its has to do with obsessive thinking.. constant stress over nothing that started to make me sick.... including high blood pressure, indigestion, fatigue... fucking sucked... they put me on xanax and i feel great i forgot how it felt to be normal...

that could be tourette's syndrome. they count incessantly.

its both Generalized anxiety disorder & obsessive compulsive disorder

I do all of the above except the water fountain which I replace with some thick chick ass.

This is true. I have OCD (who would have guessed). As a little kid, I would do these little math equations in my head nonstop and all sort of little weird rituals. Worried about parents dying nonstop. Every time I'd think of it, OCD would get set off.

I just outgrew it for the most part. I still do a little hand twitch thing when I get nervous.

Never did the face tick, never did the 'checking the oven 47 times'.

Today I do it with stress... I'll think about the same thing 400 times a day. I can't turn off stress when it comes. it is what it is.

bench, you can get meds for it, but they might be worse than minor OCD. SSRIs might take away your aggressiveness, your edge, that spark that makes you, you. I'm glad xanex is working for you. I think 2% of females and 3% of men have all-out OCD. Just live with it.

I guess i got it a little bit.

Shit like i will set my alarm on my phone, then i will check it about 12 times in the next few mins just to make sure it is on and the time is right.

Also, my car has central locking, but i still lock it and walk around to each door and the boot to make sure all of them are locked.

lol, i don't trust these things either...

I only check one door, but i hit the remote control button for close at least three times and check the lights blinking until i "believe" the car is closed, lol....

I have it (self-diagnosed)...used to be worse. I've had some success in changing some of my "rituals" to less noticeable ones so people don't ask "what the hell are you doing?"
