Yes,the dems are really moving right.An idiotic stimulous bill that threw money down the toilet to create bigger government,an auto industry takeover to pay back unions and screw shareholders,a health care takeover that will destroy the economy,a pending cap and trade bill to appease left wing enviro kooks,hate crimes crap...yes sir thay are moving way right.

How can you possibly say that the democrats (I guess we are referring to the majority or at least the loudest voices) have moved to the right...thats completely incorrect. There is a big gov/big spending/more services liberal movement vs a conservative limited gov/limited spending/personal freedom movement right now...thats whats happening in this country.

Straw, conservatives are definitely in favor of the above mentioned items...not all republicans are conservatives, I totally agree. We have some conservative democrats too (the blue dogs) and many conservative independents and libertarians. I am speaking of conservativism as it applies to big government policies and spending, not social conservativism.

I just thought it might be an easier reference point for Americans since it's all in English so they can check and compare easily, and the fact Britain is (mostly) a two party first past the post system rather than some of the European parliaments...many of which i still havent worked out!
