I kind of see your point but what about her distinctly British mannerisms? I doubt TA could imitate that. He doesn't even know how.

Hardly. People (for the most part) have distinct writing mannerisms. A person with no exposure to them cannot imitate them accurately. It would be like you trying to pass yourself off as a Grazer, do you think you could succeed?

You miss my point. Everyone tends to have a distinct style of writing and discourse and whilst I don't claim to know many things, this IS my area of knowledge. Generally speaking Americans are woefully ignorant of other varieties of English, lexically or stylistically. TA is not familiar with British slang in the slightest, thus it follows that it is HIGHLY unlikely that TA is running a gimmik with her.
