Yes some women do like chest hair, I don't get it but they do.  Back hair on the other hand not so good.  But waxing it is gay.  If i could not get a women to do it though forget about it, I would live with all the fur no matter how straight the guy is, would never be able to look him in the eye again.

clippers are great, they cut the hair short but don't shave it off completely, just keeps it manageable
