A price on life in USA
« on: June 29, 2009, 07:52:48 PM »
Maddoff today sentenced to 150 years! in prision, for theft mind you!  Do you know murders, get out in 20 years and sometimes less with good behavior.  The USA courts are sending a message, money is more important than human life in the USA, by all means the failing capitalistic system must be enforced at the cost of life.

It will be reported in less then 2 years that Madoff committed suicide...However its my belief that he will be living large in the witness protection program under a different name...This guy was made to be the scapegoat as some sort of distraction...No one on the planet would have pleaded guilty for what he did regardless of the evidence...This whole thing smells just like the Oklahoma city bombings...They find the single shooter and he pleads guilty and justice is served in record time...Its not the way the real world works...

Some people lost EVERYTHING - their entire life savings because of this guy.

Some people commited suicide because of what he did.

In some countries he would have bodyparts cut off.

150 years - not enough, should have his nuts sliced off.

yeah madoff has been stealing money since the 60s - I mean the guy ran up some serious "debt" - wasn't it in the billions of dollars.

This sentence has a lot to do with the excessive nature of the crime and not just the crime itself.

well said.  i think jtsumi is comparing apples to oranges...

our legal system makes sense to me:

 kill one person:  20 years

destroy the lives of a few hundred thousand people, plus 10-20 who committed suicide:  150 years.

what is wrong with that, use some common sense now!

fuckin' true dat......the reason there is a "holocaust" survivors charity in the first place  is because of the financial stranglehold, collusion, and "mensch" business dealings the jews used to bring germany to its knees during the depression after WW1 .......its really is the ultimate irony that through that whole ordeal they didnt learn one thing.......and today continue to do to the american, french, and brittish economy exactly what made everyone fucking hate them in the first place.

Hey look it isn't his fault the people he stole money from where so money obsessed like himself that they commited suicide at the thought of NOT having money, OH NO!  I will be poor, my life is over, pathetic!

Money is money, it is gone when you die, it does not go with you.  Life is worth more than all money, without life you cannot have money, it is just entertainment.  The obsession with money in the USA is a direct influence of Israeli interest in zionist capitalism that is right now destroying the United States before everyone's eyes.

There is some serious retardation going on in this thread.  How about everyone in america go to the bank and try to get your money out at the same time.  Holy shit, you wont be able to, why?  Because they leverage off all of our money.  How about Social Security.  Take my money and give it to the guy that is retired right now.

Maddoff fucked up, but 150 years?  Really?  Isn't he in his 70's?  That doesn't seem ridiculous to anyone else?

the judge was making a example of him they said, which in our judicial system is not allowed, the punishment is cruel and unusual, he really should appeal or get his sentenced reduced a lot.

Judges say that all the time and it is allowed.  He gave him the maximum sentence; that's not cruel and unusual.

Titus plead guilty to Murder and third degree arson which is a class D felony in Nevada. Under Nevada law, third degree arson is punishable by up to four years in prison. That means the murder was worth 17-51 years of his total sentence. Madoff pled guilty to 11 charges and got 150 years, averaging to 13.64 years per charge. Not one Madoff charge carried a possible punishment of more than 20 years in prison, whereas Titus was far up the creek had he not pled guilty. So in reality, Titus's murder charge is worth more than any of the charges against Madoff. Now STFU gimmick.
