a friend of mine who's an engineer for a major audio company says the ipod is nowhere close to delivering the audio quality these headphones are capable of putting out, so you're just throwing your money away.

record companies are recording in formats that sound good on the ipod sound codecs...any pair of $100 studio headphones or the bose with active noise cancelling work great enough that you cant hear a difference between them.

essentialy,,what you said another gimmick frmo monster dont forget to buy 300 dollars hdmi cablers because yoru hdmi cable does not provide high def,,,

yeah, im going to buy a 150$ pair or earbuds..........every pair i ever owned lasted for 6-8 weeks, because at the gym the cable always gets looped over one of the machines and pulled pulled apart or crushed under a dumbell................. .......but i have no doubt i will see all the "ethnic" kids around where i live sporting them, as they walk back to their governmentpaid housing  an d eat a meal purchased with food stamps.
