I do understand the reason 20+ years ago - when they were actively fighting for the right to be the way they are.
A parade was needed - to get the message out.
But in these days? Why fucking bother - it's not like you aren't allowed to fuck somebodies bumhole anymore.
At least not in western world.
stupid topic IMO... you can ask the same question about almost everything... why the fuck do people have anniversaries? why the fuck do countries celebrate Vetrans days, Indepemndence day etc... its just people "remembering" and "being thankful" for whatever that caused the major change in their lives...
in the case of the gay parade, sure they were born gay, its irrelevant if they are happy to be gay or not, the fact of the matter is that they were a total outcast back in the day, but now they are more accepted/tolerated, and its because of the whole gay parade that happened years ago...
so i dont think they are celebrating their gayness and showing how proud they are, but instead they are just showing appreciation for the chain of events that made them a lil more tolerable in the eyes of sociaety..
