This is actually spot on.  I read this a while back linked from opencongress.  Disinfo from Monsanto and friends.  The concerns with the bill are all still very valid.  Monsanto and whoever basically did a David Ike style disinfo on people with this.  Speak the truth but take it overboard several levels with attached absurdities.  Then the whole concern is mocked and discredited by the mainstream.

MB, I'm hoping you're not thinking this is another example of a distraction.  The distraction in this case was the original scare to discredit the real scare of the bill which is basically all the same minus stuff like losing your backyard garden to the bill.

You know, this isn't actually that shocking as far as conspiracy goes if that's what someone wants to label it.  Personally I think it's industry doing what industry does in a capitalist system over time.  Not really conspiracy, but some will say it is and well by the definition, it is.  Anyway, how shocking is it really?  There is really, not millions, but billions of dollars annually at stake.  Is it really that much to think they would go to the trouble to pre-plant some disinfo and thus control the debate when that much is on the line for them?  nope... not for a millisecond
