I look at it practically. I see only disadvantages to marriage; loss of independence, good liklihood of divorce where woman almost always wins assets from you, etc.

What advantages are there in your opinion?

Debussey has to disagree with this "behind" way of thinking in some cases. Perhaps it's more relevant in the states, but in Norway lots of people that have had a career and perhaps a degree decides that they want to reeducate themselves. Taking a 5-year degree in your late 20's or even early 30s and then starting on a new career = something done by quite a few, and its pretty cool that people have the balls to do it if it makes them happy and they work hard.

best i can figure (and it's not like i have any actual proof), adam did the economically smart thing and hammered out all his gen ed requirements at a community college then finished out his major elsewhere. all i ever dug up in my LOLpathetic time was that he took a low level english course at whatever that place was. it's totally possible, if not probable, that he went for the real degree from a legit school. i got a bunch of friends that did the same and i wish i'd done it, to be honest, my fuckton of student loans might be more bearable.

by the way, what do you want him to do? scan his degree? the guy's not claiming to have a PhD from MIT or anything outrageous. a BS/BA is pretty stock standard in the US these days. hell even i have two of them.
