« on: July 08, 2009, 01:26:41 PM »
dont' you think the material you've been posting and the right wing has been laying it on pretty thick?

sure, things are "bad" and there needs to be some good solutions. Its too much already. To much shit to wade through.

Raises a red flag for me.

What raises a red flag for me is what this admn is doing at breathtaking speed unlike anything seen in my lifetime.  You simply cant name any other president who has attempted to literally take over the entire private economy within 6 months of being in office.  Health Care, Cap & Trade, autos. etc, this is what happened in the 1930's.

In the nonsense of "Hope & Change" there are "changes" beinfg attempted that literally will destroy our way of life.  That may seem like hyperbole to you, but if you look at the details into what is going on, there is no other conclusion in my mind.

Whether it be cap & trade, card check, taxing health care, phoney stimils bills, deficits that are leading other countries to question the validity of having the dollar as the international reserve currency, THERE ARE MAJOR DISASTERS AFOOT!

Does that make sense to you?

Billy - do I ever do cheap personal attacks?

No, I always discuss details of programs that this admn is pursuing and the problems.

Not one Obama voter/supporter has yet to prove me wrong on almost anything I post regarding what he is doing.

If they want to stay mentally lazy and not look into these things, fine, but I will not.

Whether it be the 28 Czars he has appointed, cap and tax, etc, there is simply no explanation for what is going on other than he is moving us to Euro socialism, WHICH MOST PEOPLE DONT WANT!

this didn't begin with Obama and it won't end with him either.

Hugo posted something about how repubes didn't call out bush when he was doing shady shit now everyone is in a tiff for what Obama is doing. While the presidents before him laid down the ground work for everything that is happening today.

So? Does that make it right? Because Bush did it then Obama should just get a pass, and finish off America.

And he was right!  Bush was horrible, a phoney, a liar, a spendthrift, and was not called to tak soon enough.

You have no argument from me there.  Bush opened the door with TARP and Obama picked up the ball and ran with it.

However, obama was elected because he was supposed to be the opposite of Bush.  Instead, we got Bush on roids.

You're going to get a bit of an argument from me in that TARP is nothing comparable to what is going on right now. TARP may very well have been the wrong thing to do, but that will be the source of heated debate between experts for years if not decades. Anyone with a brain can see that what Obama is doing with these rediculous stimulous packages is idiotic. In any event, between October and January the market was looking fairly stable, so it didnt look like TARP made things worse, but these stimulus packages are clearly making things worse.

Bush irritated me with his whole message of "Compassionate Conservatism" - as if there is anything compassionate about spending other people's money. But lets not forget that the deficit was historically low for most of his two terms. It was definately managable. In the end, he will be remembered as an above average President unlike this piece of crap that we have in the White House right now.

I do agree that Obama is ten times the worst of Bush.

What I am most concerned about, especially being in NY, is that all the money that the govt is taking from the private sector in the form of stimulus bills, health care taxes, energy taxes, etc, is going to make it impossible for small business to survive.

Just in NY alone, our taxes are rising fast and the govt refuses to cut back.

The same on a federal level.  Has even one federal worker been laid off?

it seems to me that anyone with a brain knows that doing these things now is the worst thing to do.  That being said, why are they doing these things now so fast, when no one can read the bills?

That is why my tenatacles are up as to what is going on.

You call Obama a Marxist.

Thus, making him guilty by association with tons of historic persons who are usually associated with Marxism and communism.

It's a cheap and dishonest trick.

You claim to "always discuss details of programs that this admn is pursuing and the problems. "

Then leave name calling to others.

Fine, you got me on that.  Im talking about making fun of his wife, kids, etc.

But the polcies are scaring small business into not hiring anyone.

Just this morning in my business meeting people were talking how scared they are over the tax and regulation tsunami coming.  These are middle and upper middle income small business owners who are barely making it now who are petrified over health care taxes, cap & trade, etc.

Cool.

What are the opportunities though.

Will there be any ways to create new jobs through these new regulations?

Are you gonna be able to cut any costs in the long run eg?

What about competition from Mexico? Will it be bigger or smaller?

How about the EU?

Is there anything you can do in your type of business to become more succesful?

I'm guessing a guy like 240 or Bust is already looking at solutions on eg a website for searching the web for the best cap and trade alternative for your specific business, sorta like a shopper.com website but for cap and trade.

These are trades people are lifelong plumbers, painters, eltrcicians, etc.

They are worried that their customers' having less $$$$ in their pockets will lead to less spending, which is happening already.
