My days of intense philosophy reading are long gone, nowadays I'm way too lazy.

Serious answer, now, J. Read because it brings you pleasure, or it enriches your life, in some way. Don't read something because someone 'insists' you do, or because you feel incumbent to do so. And I have a great suspicion about 'self-help books. I think they probably do as much harm as good. If you're not a reader, that's fine, too. Life is short. Do what makes you happy.
