Uh... not quite....

But just in case you need your Karate Kid fix again...

Jackie Chan takes on the role of martial arts master Mr Miyagi - who in the remake is named Mr Han.

Will Smith's son Jaden plays the young apprentice made famous by Ralph Macchio in the eighties teen classic.

The screenplay for the revised version - entitled Kung Fu Kid - is written by Steve Contrad.

He penned tearjerker The Pursuit Of Happyness which also starred Jaden Smith and his father Will.

The I Am Legend actor is also involved in the project as a producer along with James Lassiter.

The new film will see Smith's character, Dre, and his mother, played by Oscar nominated actress Taraji P. Henson, relocate to China.
The young American is a misfit in the country until he meets karate mentor Jackie Chan.

It is a similar plot to the 1984 original in which Daniel LaRusso and his mother move from New Jersey to California.

The bullied teen finds it difficult to acclimatise to his new life until Mr Miyagi teaches him the art of karate.

His first lesson famously featured him learning to wash cars with a 'wax on wax off' motion.

The film earned favourable critical acclaim and Pat Morita, who played Mr Miyagi, was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actor.

It also helped launch the career of Elisabeth Shue who played Macchio's love interest.

In my opinion classics should be left alone.  and relocated to China, China is mostly associated with Kung-fu.  Japan is the country that is mostly associated with Karate.  so the movie has flaws in already
