IMO he deserved to beat dillet, wheeler, and, levrone!!.. dillet because of his structure flaws.. wheeler and levrone because they both were off..

where he placed  in 97?  he would  win the O this yr and last and the yr before.  i wonder would execs at ami be crazy enough to place phil ahead of him.

He was 9th, which was 2 places down from 7th in 96 (which became 6th, after Nasser was disqualified for diuretics). He did bounce back in the post-Olympia Grand Prix shows though, and defeated K Lo to place 1st in the Russian Grand Prix.
