Louie had a significant tumor removed from his liver this morning, most likely cancer but hoping for best $:-\$ ... surgery went very well ...... pls keep him in your thoughts .... he needs all the help he can get....

thanks Stella! ..... first 24hrs were good.... he is up and around -- in pain but they say he is enjoying the drugs.. ha! the tumor was attached to his stomach and taking major blood supply now that it is removed we are concerned about the area not getting adequate blood supply.... still very sad

Is he wearing a cone Jimmy?

We had a thread on here about how the cones can bother the dogs w/vertigo, etc...and that there are some that look like a pool float that may be better. Can't find the thread right now $:-\$

He is home no cone and doing great

, his dr has been amazing through all of this. He is past the 72 hr mark and is eating and
passing food with no problems... just getting rest now.. he has a few more bumps on his liver but we are hoping they grow slow and give him a few more years.....either way I am elated to have him home.

Louie is doing great......we've had a pretty crappy couple of months, had to let go of Louie's sister she was 17 and it was time

... never had to do that before and it is by far the toughest thing I have had to do in my life ......17 years with a dog is a long time.....but we got Louie a new sister right away... her name is Sophia Marie

I'm so sorry to hear of little Louie's sister. That is a very traumatic thing to go through. I hope her passing was peaceful.

What a sad and happy thread this is.

Sorry about Louie's cancer, happy his surgery went well and he should be with you for some more years. Sorry about the lose of his sister, 17 years is a good long life.

And then happy again about Sophia who is a doll!
