pretty sure it was the taller of the two...think that is Sudo....the Muscle memory guy would know....

Sugita won the overall NABBA Universe back in the 70's, Sudo won his height class twice but never overall

Sudo beat dale Adrian in nabba U in 75....first in medium..musta been pretty good to beat Adrian, who was AAU Mr A

Sugita won 2nd in  short class in same show

overall to Ian Lawrence
beat Michalik in tall/overall

For me, Sugita. He carried way more mass than Sudo.
He was also a monster of training.
He was doing dumbell pull over with a pair of 60kg dumbell.

I was training in the sugitas gym when he owned World Gym Osaka. And Really great guy to talk to. His philosophy gave me lots of influence.
Sugita is doing sevaral seminars now. And he is old now(of course).

About Sudo, I have never met him. But I heard that he was dedicating for Triathron.
Sometime, he is doing training seminar at Golds in Japan.

Modern bodybuilders are impressive for what they can accomplish I guess, but they look too cartoonish imo.  And then there's the guts.  I wouldn't want to look like that.  Not that I'll ever achieve a 'classic' look either, but that would be my ideal.

Sudo is sometimes around Golds Gym North Tokyo (Otsuka), great pic of him in the front area when he was in his prime, him and Sugita are 2 of the best Asian bodybuilders ever, million times better than the all drugs Hide ::)
