Not really. Nicotine is a very potent cholinergic neurotoxin even in small doses. The studies showing that it prevents Parkinson's seem likely, as Parkinson's is caused by a loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the brain and nicotine is dopaminergic, but these studies haven't been properly conducted. Maybe it's not that nicotine protects from Parkinson's, but that people who become addicted to smoking have a high natural production of dopamine, so they wouldn't get Parkison's anyway if they never took up smoking and smoking might have actually increased their likelihood of Parkinson's by depleting pre-synaptic dopamine stores.

There is no evidence that smoking temporarilly raises IQ.

hash is cool... at the pot dispensarys here in cali (where the people who can get it for medicinal purpouses go) grams of hash go for 10 bucks...

even better than regular hash is hash oil...

generally speaking the idea is to combine the two. roll up a blunt with hash ground up and sprinkled in between all the weed.

I smoke weed on the regular. I enjoy it as well.

Ciggs though...I never got into them. I guess cause they were never really "mind altering", just get me light headed. Also, there's a thin line that's easy to cross between just having a couple ciggs every so often and becoming a regular smoker. I've seen so many people start off as an occasional smoker with no intention of being a regular. Then they start buying packs, then they start smoking those packs in a day, and soon enough they have no control over their cravings.
