Healthcare in this country is currently rationed by insurance companies. They regularly TELL YOU what they will cover and what they won't cover based on a profit motive. The GOP knows this. They don't want YOU to understand that your healthcare is not only rationed but regularly DENIED (coverage, that is) because you have non-medical insurance adjusters standing between you and your doctor right this second. The infamous "pre-existing condition" is utilized to fuckk over sick patients.... for profit.

Medicaire pulls the plug too early on old people. That will be the norm if government care happens for the entire population. Healthcare has to be rationed in some way just like all other resources. It is going to get rationed one way or the other. Why do you trust a government beaurocrat to do that more than an insurnace executive? Atleast the insurance executive has SOME incentive to please you. They cant afford to deny a lot of claims or else they WONT make a profit. But a government beaurocrat can take everything you have by putting a gun to your head. Why do you trust a faceless bearocrat who doesnt even know you?

I agree with a mandate that forces insurance companies to insure everyone who applies.  No one should be denied based on pre-existing conditions.  We can do that without nationalized health insurance.  Gov can set quite a few mandates on insurance companies without taking over. 

Some of the dems are pushing this as all or nothing (nationalized health care or keep the status quo).  There are tons of interventions that can happen to improve the current system.  Those should be pursued first.  The CBO announced the nationalized plan would likely increase costs.  Most experts believe there will be an increase in rationing.  These should have put the breaks on the nationalized plan.

Hey mons moron - what your stupid ass does not understand is that while one insurance company many deny a patient, the patient can always go to another company and get care, albeight at a higher price. 

However, when the govt is the only game in town and says "NO", the patient is left with no other options.

fella,,have you even wondered the other way around?,,this is what happened during the boom people dont know how to manage money and look where it ended up and eveyrone blames bushes for it people from gramnda,,daddy,,16 year old child was a real estate agent making 100k or more all of a sudden and bought everything in sight then they kept reinfancing their homes that they bought over and over till their eyes were so bled they couldnt see what hapepend then they blamed bush for it,,,those are the same fellas who need govern. control over their lifes there is gov control then there is NO government control which we seen the last 7 years

We had and have to omuch govt control.  The congressional report confirmed that Fannie and Freddy were responsible for the crash.
