qft.

100h work week = tons of knowledge required, not only about finance, taxes, law, but also marketing, cooking and so on.

Absolutely, what does Victor know about taxes, law, even laws associated with the health department.
Sounds like he has a few business partners, they think his "Celebrity" will make them a profit..lol, bankrupt motherfuckers...

Sure people will say "you can hire a specialist for that", but that costs a ton of money.

Yeah for sure it's better to be you're own boss.
Why name it Muscle maker grill?? how many girls are going to want to have dinner there?
who would take there date there?
love to see the business plan

It's a chain restraunt. There are some in different cities. I don't think it's a bad buisness plan. I think if they have decent food at fair prices, not to mention a large variety of dishes on the HEALTHY side -vs- the alternative of beef sandwiches and fires or pizza I think it will be successful.

The MUSCLE part could make the average hungry phag walking by think the food is injected with steroids and he'll keep walking anyway.

Most restraunts stay live and well due to word of mouth. "You know that new place over at so and so...yea, I went there for lunch today. Not bad! I had a great platter of grilled chicken with this good seasoning and some long grain wild rice with steamed vegetables on the side. Yea...it was good and it was like $8. You gotta check it out! "

If they can estalish that then they're golden. I doubt Victor owns it or has a piece in it. I bet it was more like... you can eat here for free if you make an appearence here once in a while and send over as many people as you can.

Remember: Pro bodybuilders 9 out of 10 times work for FREE if they feel like they are getting a perk out of it.

Yeah, the restaurant business ain't no joke.

Restaurant startups consistently have one of the highest failure rates among small businesses.

I don't know his situation, but I highly doubt he's the principle owner.

Nevertheless, good luck with it.

So lets get this right..
Victor had a gym and it went bust..right?

Victor had a gym a few years back.  They were taking year long gym memberships right up until closing the doors.

Its vague, but I believe there may have been blame levelled at the partners.

a restaurant?? In Germany, we have a saying that goes "Wer nichts wird, wird Wirt", that means people that achieve nothing in life open up bars or restaurants.

Wer nix wird wird Wirt, wer garnix wird wird Betriebswirt, wer ausserdem ein Arschloch ist, der wird Polizist.

Good job, he's taking a risk opening up a restaurant in a recession, and on top of that 57-61% of all restaurants fail within 4 years of opening.   He would have been more wise to take the $400,000 loan him and his business partner spent on the restaurant, and opened a supplement store, or gym.  As those are businesses that are actually doing better right now.  I really think he should have opened a supplement store.

Supplement stores are a dying venture.  Internet is killing them.  Maybe its different in Dubai, India.

I wish Victor all the best but restaurant is one tough business.  It's one of those businesses where you gotta be there all hours that its open or your profits go right out the front door and the back door.

most likely will fail as the word Muscle is associated with it, Mum's and Dad's would never take the family out if there is a chance a bunch of roided up losers will be there, Muscle Maker grill will be shut before christmas.

P.S when word spreads that he took gym members money right up to shutting the doors he will be over by October.

Not if you have a big name behind the supplement store, i honestly don't think this kind of restaurant will have a wide enough appeal to people in general to keep it busy enough.  It also depends on its location, ie if its close to a gym etc kind of like the firehouse is in Venice Beach Cali.

I agree with you on the restaurant's appeal.  And restaurant biz is hard fucking work and long hours.  It's not the type of biz you can be an absentee owner.
