He must have had an amazing responce to drugs, wasn't he a whole hell of a lot bigger?
After a kidney transplant he certainly shouldn't be doing anything to mess with the kidney.  Lots of water, mild protein intake, avoid lots of NSAIDS and no dangerous drugs metabolized by the kidneys.
