His parents seem like the stuck up type who don't have the first clue how to raise kids, which makes it even funnier. If i was the parent i would let the kid play the game aslong as he wanted, he would just suffer the concequences by feeling like shit the next day due to tiredness. I've played the game for a couple of years, there's way too many no-lifers attracted to games like this. I'm ok with parents taking a hard stance, seeing your kid for 6+ hours a day, 7 days a week absorbed by the game, kick em away from the screen!

If kids want to play the game why stop them? atleast they are safe in the home and happy playing the game, it's better than them being out on the streets getting into trouble/drinking/smoking. Also just because they played WoW alot dosen't mean they have to be out of shape, weight training only takes 30 mins per day.

true but on the flip side games like that eat up a lot of hours. Time passes quickly before you know it the day is over. A lot of kids have a hard time adapting to real life because they spend most of their waking hours online in an imaginary world. Parents should take a hard stance in situations like this.

I don't mind them playing games, not at all, I do mind obsessive gaming. I mind all obsessive behaviour, you just jumped to conclusions.  

Being out on the streets is good for kids, in 90% of the world the neighbourhood is a safe place for kids to meet other kids, play, have fun, bruise a knee.

I didn't make any comment about kids being out of shape, but I'll bite. There are strong correlations between diet, lifestyle (sedentary couch potato, lots of gaming) and weight. Of course there are wow-players that work out, I was one of them.
