Ferrigno looked huge in guard uniform
much bigger then when he appears at trade shows

anyone know his weight there?

Guys who are muscular always look about 10 - 20 lb heavier on the big screen. I'd say he was probably about 230ish. His arms definitely looked great.

I was just guesstimating. Do you reckon he's heavier? Maybe he was around 250 lb.

I take my nephew to Comic Con conventions in NY all the time and he's usually there signing photos. He's a tall guy with a large, wide frame. There's no way he weighs anything under 270. I'm 220 and next to him I look like a molested school girl.

That was in the 70's dude. After his "comeback" he competed at over 300lbs.

Just got off the phone with Lou (did you guys know he charges $10 to receive a call?), he says he was 278.5 lbs there. He remembers he had just taken a dump and sipped on some water, and checked on a scale.

if it was first hulk you are absolutely right, i was training with him right after. He was 287 to be exact and very lean. The 2nd one he got up to about 270 only though. But i tell ya the mans health is 100% spot on.

Lou's weight has always been all over the place. He's gone as low as 220 pounds and as high as 325 pounds or thereabouts. This is from memory having read up on him in magazine interviews and articles. BTW, the man was 6'4"-6'4.5" at his peak. Is probably 6'3"-6'3.5" nowadays (he has lost height). Here are his weights through the years:

1970 - 220 pounds
1971 - 315 pounds
1972 - 221 pounds
1974 - 264 pounds
1975 - 268 pounds
1976-1981 - 275-280 pounds
1982-1983 - 262-271 pounds
1984-1986 - 250 pounds
1987 - 220 pounds
1988-1990 - 270 pounds
1991 - 315 pounds
1992 - 298 pounds
1993 - 318-325 pounds
1994-1996 - 298 pounds
Since then his highest weight has been 285-287 and second highest has been 270 pounds, but in general he is MAX 250 pounds nowadays.
