There are times I miss it Bast, but it couldn't be saved after my radiation and the 10 months of prednisone. It was falling out, breaking off and fusing together when I washed it.

I had extensions put in to keep me from mentally losing it and when they were taken out (4 months later) I just said cut it all off. It's growing back now and healthy again. Most think it's a good look for me.

The "thing" on the back of my neck is a superman logo tattoo that I've had for a couple years. I'm not running test and I think I look pretty damn good for 45 year old who just spent the last year battling cancer and Sarcoidosis, thanks.

Whoa! Sorry. What's sarcoidosis? They're always talking about it on House, but I guess I didn't pay attention when they said what it does. No hormones at all? Must have some crazy genetics?

Sarcoidsis is an auto-immune disease. Bernie Mac died not too long ago from it. It is most commonly found in the lungs, but can be anywhere in the body, even the eyes. I have it in my lungs and heart. I had surgery on my heart to repair the arrhythmia it caused and was on prednisone for 10 months for my lungs. During that battle I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed this past August. I still had the cells in my body after that surgery and went through radiation. I go through many tests (blood, CT, ultra-sound, full body scans) every couple months, in fact I just went through my last set less than a month ago and due for another bout of radiation and scans mid September. I'm on a pretty strict diet and have busting my ass in the gym daily, not to mention up at 4:30 every morning doing cardio. I'm sorry if I look old or weathered to you but I've earned every line on my body and damn happy I'm still here to wear them.
