uhm no, there was a recent documentary of the building of this aquarium on discovery channel. It's a Japanese aquarium, earthquake proof. The glass is a kind of polyurethane if I recall correctly, The polyurethane is a few feet thick, layered  to be able to absorb the immense pressure. A true work of art.

Think what kind of safety measures they had to take to make sure the glass won't give in if a huge whale decides to crash into it.

It is beautiful, but as someone said is it really healthy for those large animals?, and btw the Japanese do not have a very good record of being kind to animals.
